365 Days of Gratitude- the conclusion

So, last year on Thanksgiving I started doing this thing called “365 Days of Gratitude.”

…I never finished. I even stopped regularly using tumblr.

But that’s only because my life has been so full that I haven’t had time, and I’m thankful for that.

This year I’ve fallen in love with people, ideas, music, and myself.

I’ve been sad and angry.

I’ve been happier than ever.

I’ve been homesick.

I’ve made new homes.

I’ve grown so much,

and realized just how much growing I still have to do.

I’ve figured some things out,

and realized that I’m never going to completely know what the heck is going on in this world.

My cup has overflown, and for that I am truly thankful.

And I’m home this weekend, so I’ve been eating yummy food, reading my nephew bedtime stories, and snuggling lots with my cat.

Life is wonderful.

Hey guys, this is my little brother, Mikey. He’s 9 years old. The other day my best friend and I were watching “Americas next top model” and he came in the room and got really upset at how all of the girls seemed to be breaking down over the things they couldn’t control. One girl, who was very thin, was complaining that she was a “fat bitch” and how she needed to lose at least 10lbs. Another girl, quite beautiful, was complaining that her nose was too big for her face. Then Mikey started lecturing Chloe and me on how stupid they were. He was questioning how such beautiful girls could do this to themselves. We tried to explain to him how its not just them, everyone does it and it really upset him. So he wrote himself a little script and asked me for my laptop. He sat there for about two hours trying to make everything perfect so he could try to tell all the girls and guys out there who feel bad about themselves that they’re all beautiful and society is stupid. Please reblog this and share it with your friends for Mikey and his urge to make everyone aware of their beauty.

This is my Doctor Who clock. I bought the face at Target. It has 12 magnetic frames, so you can put your own photos or drawings in each hour. I drew the pictures myself in January/February of this year (Crayola coloured pencils and Sakura Micron pens on paper) and am tickled by the number of compliments I received. I’ve also gotten requests for various themes: X-Files, Twin Peaks, Lost, and several video games. I’ll probably leapfrog over all of those, because I want to do a SuperWhoLock mashup next.

The photo isn’t real great and you can see all my greasy fingerprints, so I’ll post close-ups of the Doctors soon.
